Azalea Bonsai

I went to the annual PSBA auction last weekend and came home with a new tree. This was my second year going to the auction but first time actually buying something. I've always wanted an azalea and this one really caught my eye due to its unique shape. Although its not really a traditional bonsai style, I really enjoy the way it looks.

The tag said that it's an "Everest" Azalea approximately 15 years old and was collected.

5/29/2025 - Sad update - I think the tree has died. I left on a 3 week trip and had a friend water it but it seems like it maybe got too hot or didn't get enough shade. I think it is possible that the tree is still alive so I will continue to water it.
